Real estate has become a global market, with many organizations having interests throughout the world. This one-year MSc, with Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accreditation, recognizes the need for new graduates with an international perspective and offers you invaluable overseas experience via mentor-supported placements.

Accredited by RICS, this MSc provides a route to full professional status for those seeking a career in real estate anywhere in the world for both local an international practice. It is therefore relevant to all students from around the world who seek a real estate qualification with a view to future practice in their home country or internationally.

Assessment of each case study will be based on a written report and an oral examination which will not only be based on your submitted case study reports, but will also test that learning outcomes have been achieved. There are no formal, unseen written examinations.

Entry requirements

– The normal minimum entry requirement will be in possession of a bachelor
degree in any major or in possession of an equivalent certificate.
– Mature candidates with significant relevant work experience and lower
academic qualifications may also be considered for admission
– If your first language is not English, we will accept the International English
Language Test (IELTS) with a minimum score of 6.5 average with no element
below 5.5.

How is the Course organized?

You will undertake a series of the ‘live scenario’ based case studies that will increase in complexity as they progress.

Case Study 2 Land & Property Management (30 credits)
Case Study 3 Investment & Development (30 credits)
Cast Study 4 International Real Estate Market Analysis (45 credits)
Dissertation (60 credits)

The case studies engage you in an interactive workshop format in which University staff, visiting practitioners and site visits will provide insights and guidance to enable you to gain knowledge and understanding through investigation, reading and active practical learning. During the international case study, you will visit an overseas destination, and be supported by a mentor in the case study country, through an online tutorial programme and by the course team during visits
